What’s it for?

I keep getting the same questions, what are you fasting for? is your family fasting? is it for a holiday? So i want to make everything clear.  My fast is just part of a diet that i am trying to maintain, but i want to give myself a ‘trial period’ first. So it is not for religious purposes but for personal purposes. As far as drinking etc…that’s just because i want to cut down on some of those habits so i figured i would add that into there. but nothing is imperative. Not saying it is okay for me to break fast, but this is only for cutting down purposes. Going into 2013, I am not going to continue fasting but i do need to cut some things out of my life and figured the fast would be a great start! any more questions??
